A multifaceted evening of theater, exploring the absurd, linguistic wit, and intergenerational dialogue. To mark Mani Matter's 90th birthday, this performance is dedicated to his dramatic work, bridging the gap between then and now. Fragments, diary entries, spoken texts, and scenes intertwine to create a rich tapestry of voices, blurring the lines between literature and the stage. At its heart lies the relationship between the individual and the community. Mani Matter plays with perspectives, pushes linguistic logic to the point of absurdity, and transforms the stage into a space for reflection. Recurring characters—author, citizen, hero, and ghost—embody timeless questions at the intersection of life and art. An evening that bridges generations—and pays homage to a great wordsmith.
